The HHP's First Inpatient Pediatric Acupuncture Interview for 2022

I am happy to bring you our first Issues in Hospital-based Practice live zoom session this year on Friday, April 8th, 2022, at 1000 Pacific (1100 Mountain, 1200 Central, 1300 Eastern U.S. time). This is an interview with Dr. Risi Idiokitas, DAOM, a pediatric acupuncturist who works at Children's National in D.C.

I will be co-moderating a panel presentation session at the 2021 IM4US conference on Sept. 24th from 1600-1730 U.S. Eastern time, “Advancing Integrative Pain Management Through Collaboration and Advocacy”.

The Hospital Handbook Project (HHP) has collaborated with the Alliance to Advance Comprehensive Integrative Pain Management (AACIPM) to co-host a panel of colleagues at the Sept 2021 IM4US conference. We share stories on bringing meaningful, culturally responsive quality healthcare to our communities. And we share examples of LAcs integrating their work with their local healthcare systems.

Topic: Scheduling Multiple Professionals in an Interdisciplinary Outpatient Clinic Setting

What a schedule looks like for two LAcs within an interdisciplinary clinic with a focus on team care and engaging and empowering patients by teaching self-care along with regular clinical care.

Setting: Outpatient Functional Rehabilitation Model Pain Management Clinic.

Format: Our guest speaker will present on this topic followed by a Q&A session with the audience. This session is an episode of the HHP’s Issues in Hospital-based Practice webinar series.

Who Should Attend?

• Any clinical program manager/medical director or acupuncturist interested in a snapshot of what interdisciplinary team-based care in an outpatient clinic looks like

• This event is open to healthcare system acupuncturists, their program managers, and admin.

  Presentation of schedule visuals include the following elements

  • Daily huddle (short team meeting)
